Selling your Home in a Buyer's Market - From the Desk of Rod O'Keefe
In the picturesque city of Vernon, BC the real estate market has seen a gradual decline in pricing, ranging from 4% to 9%, contingent upon the neighborhood, property type, and price range. However, it's essential to note that this decrease does not signify a departure of potential buyers from the market; rather, it has ushered in a unique opportunity for those in search of a new home – a buyer's market in Vernon, BC real estate.

Are you getting what you need from your agent? The importance of honest candid feedback. Politeness is important but when it comes to feedback honesty is crucial. In our last post we discussed the importance of feedback and how this data can significantly assist both the agent and the seller in understanding what buyers may be looking for from a home. Feedback can inform how the home compares to others on market and what if anything can be done to increase the potential for a successful sale.
You have listed your property…Now what?
Your home is spotless, the landscaping is immaculate, the For Sale sign is up and now it is time for you to test the market waters. Those butterflies of anticipation can quickly give way to concerned exhaustion as the showings do or don’t pile up. How many showings is too many showings? Why does my neighbor (who is also for sale) appear to have more showings than I? What should I expect in on-going communication from my agent regarding my listing? How do you know if I priced my home correctly? What does feedback mean? We all like to compare, contrast and worry when our listing is active. What are the right answers and most importantly…how do I know if my home will sell and if I have chosen the right agent to facilitate this?

We were celebrating and giving Thanks to our customers while fund raising for Teen Junction, a local organization under the Boys and Girls Club umbrella, which supports youth in our community. Who knew what we intended to be a yearly event would be postponed due to covid. This doesn't mean we can't continue to be grateful and have an attitude of gratitude. Will you join us in our efforts?
